The most recent addition to my collection is the Zoella Beauty Hey Room! Reed Diffuser. I'll spare you the back story of Zoella Beauty, because, let's face it, you already know it. Blogger Beauty Queen, Zoe Sugg leading the way for bloggers all over the internet to forge a career doing what they love. It truly is a feed-worthy fairytale. After mooching around Superdrug's website pretending to get Christmas present inspiration, but really looking for me, I spotted this latest addition to the range and thought I'd have to road test it. For Christmas present research naturally.
Packaged in a signature Zollea polkadot, lace and neon coral box you get 8 reed's and a glass jar full of fragrance, complete with coral bows. I'm not sure what I was expecting the jar to be like, but I was definitely pleasantly surprised. I've had reed diffusers before where the jar was flimsy and kept falling over, but this is heavy enough to withstand every day life, whilst staying pretty. So pretty in fact I'll probably keep the jar as a home decoration after the fragrance has been used.
Theres no messy decanting of oil, as it's already been placed in the jar. The only thing you have to do is remove the rubber stopper from the jar and place your reeds in. The way I understand reed diffusers to work is that you can tailor the strength of the fragrance to you taste (nose) by the number of reeds; the more reeds, the stronger the smell. I've only used the diffuser a week but found using all 8 reeds is perfect for filling the entire room, without being overpowering.
The fragrance itself is fresh and girly, similar to the rest of the Zoella Beauty range. Containing a blend of white wood, sweet vanilla and floral notes, it's subtle enough to appeal to everyone whilst still being noticeable. As I've said, this diffuser is still going strong after one week so I can't say how long it will last. Reports on the Feel Unique website say 8 weeks whilst the packaging say up to 12, but if it lasts 8 weeks, for the £12.50 price tag I'd be pleased.
Whilst most of you probably don't have a fear of flames, I know their will be some of you that can't or prefer not to have them. Be it a room in university halls, or a home with a pet or small child, this would be a great way to enjoy some fragrance. Oh, and with Christmas just round the corner they are ideal for stocking fillers or secret santa.
I'm really hooked on reed diffusers at the moment. Do you have any suggestions for me to try?
