The final installment of my Spring/Summer ’15 trend report, today I’m focusing on the beauty trends that will be popular this season, both wearable, and  unwearable.

To ease you in, I’ll start of with the hair trends. Surprisingly unradical, and dare I say, boring, the hair trends for this season aren’t really anything to shout about. Off-centre partings were seen at Jason Wu and Chloe whilst Stella McCartney, Alexander Wang and Prada all showcased low pony-tails. If the super groomed style isn’t for you, the boho hippy trend influenced soft curls and waves  at Emillio Pucci, Marchessa and Anna Sui. Overall, nothing too exciting.

Whilst the hair trends lack excitement, the makeup trends are definitely a mixed bag. Of course there’s the usual bare-faced, minimal looks seen at Marc Jacobs. Models looked natural and rather ethereal so now is the time to invest in a good highlighter. However that’s were the natural ends. If you thought Radiant Orchid was so 2014 you’d be completely wrong. Beautiful purple eyes were everywhere with Vera Wang and Derek Lam leading the way. Although I love this look, how good I will be at applying it is another thing altogether. It’s going to take a fair amount of practice not to look like I’ve gone three rounds with Mike Tyson. Oh, and if that wasn’t daring enough for you, try bleaching your brows. We’ve all be loving strong brows a la Cara for a good couple of years, but now it’s the turn of the barely-there-brows. Miu Miu and Givenchy both sported the look with models both bleaching and using concealer to hid their eyebrows,  Personally, I can’t won’t be parted with my brow products and think this trend is going to go under the radar.

I hate to say it but I’m just not impressed with the beauty trends this season. What do you think?
