Tonight I decided to have a Daddy-Daughter meal out, and luckily the Co-operative Food invited me to their pop up restaurant in the heart of Manchester in Exchange Square. What’s even better is that the restaurant is part of a Twitter campaign, letting you eat for free! Simply tweet the account with a reason why you deserve to win a table for yourself and up to three friends, and if your chosen, enjoy a drink, starter and main course on the Co-op!
After I finished work we headed into Manchester and headed to Exchange Square. On arrival we were ushered upstairs to our table, where everything was explained to us. It took us forever to decide what to eat, but in the end I decided to try a Fun Guy halloumi burger with Naked Fries, and my dad had a Head Honcho Pulled Pork Stack with naked fries. While we were waiting for our meal (which was super quick) we tucked into nachos dip! Once we started tucking into our meal though, the only conversation was about how delicious the food was. I was sure you wouldn’t get much change from £10 if you tried to re-create one of the meals. Shockingly I couldn’t have been further from the truth. At the end of our meal, we were presented a tip tray with a break down of how much the meal would have cost had we made it ourselves. My Fun Guy burger cost a mere £2.14, whilst Head Honcho was £3.81 and the naked fries were 29p! Even better, we were given a voucher for £2 off food at Co-op. Lucky for me, there’s one just round the corner from our house …
If you fancy getting in on this grub (yes. I went there), the pop-up restaurant is outside Selfridges in Exchange Square all day tomorrow. All you have to do is:
- follow @Tweet4aTable
- Mention them in a tweet stating why you deserve to dine in their pop-up restaurant & use the hashtag #Tweet4aTable.
