I'm getting rather good at using products up. I've come to the realization that I've stock piled a lot of products and need to really shift some of them before I drive myself crazy. On the plus side, that does mean more reviews for you.
If you have an incredible memory, you may remember that I got two sets of the Baylis & Harding Beauticology Christmas gift sets (click here) because I loved them the previous year. Sadly they have changed the formula and this year's weren't as good as last year's. Whilst the Chocolate Chip Shower Creme was pretty similar, the Spiced Gingerbread Cupcake Body Wash was a bit goo-like in consistency and less gingerbread scented. However I must stress that I still really loved them, and will be stock piling again come Christmas. Another product from Christmas which I used up recently was the Lush Magic Wand Reusable Bubble Bar. I adore this. If you're not sure of it, think Snow Fairy Shower Gel, but with lots of bubbles. The concept of a wand is lovely and the value for money is incredible. Of course a re-purchase will happen when they are released again. Next up I used up a sample of the Gilchrist & Soames Shower Gel that I got in a Birchbox. I actually wasn't planning on using this sample so speedily, but it was leaking in my box. Whilst it was nice to use, it wasn't anything special and didn't have a particularly strong scent. It wasn't memorable, and I wont be purchasing the full size. Lastly, I finished the Mane 'n Tail Shampoo. I've actually done a full review here, but for the sake of this post, I won't be buying again. I don't hate this shampoo, but I think if your hair isn't particularly dry or damaged, you're going to be left disappointed.
I can talk about Blanx White Shock til I'm blue in the face. It's such an incredible product and worth paying that little bit more for toothpaste. As I said in my review here, It's really helped give my sensitive teeth a natural white look, without subjecting to pain or not giving them the extra care sensitive teeth need. Like my Lush magic wand, I also finished the Rudolph face mask. This was such a great all-rounder mask, and it really helped sort my skin out when it was quite congested. If it is re-released this Christmas, I'll definitely be snapping it up. Another two products which I have previously raved about are the Derma V10 Chocolate Body Butter and the Body Shop Matte It Primer. Both are great at doing exactly what you would want from each. The body butter sinks in fast, gives great hydration to your skin and smells amazing, whilst the primer helps keep shine at bay and makes your base look flawless. As soon as I have used all my body butters and primers, I'm stocking up on these. I'm also a massive fan of the ESPA Optimal Skin Proserum. As the name suggests, it has improved my skin, making it smooth and more radiant. This is such a good all-round serum, and one which I think is ideal if you don't have one specific thing you want to address. I'm not sure if they still sell this Rimmel Volume Extend Mascara, but I was a massive fan. I never know what I want from a mascara so having one that does everything is great, and this did it so well. Unfortunately it dried up, so into the bin it goes. Lastly, Soap & Glory Off Your Face Cleansing Wipes. Although Fleur De Force raves about these, I just don't think their anything special. For face wipes, their on the pricey side and I didn't think they did anything extra, so it's just not worth it in my opinion.
Have you tried any of these products?
