When do you know you have a problem?
Is it when you get buyer's regret or when it becomes awkward when the Post Man rings the door bell for the fourth day in a row?
I think this ship sailed quite a while ago with me. But as I've never even set foot into my overdraft (touch wood), I'm living within my means. Just. From June the future is a little bit uncertain for me. Sounds scary but its true. I finish my post-graduate course and for the first time ever, will be getting a full-time job. I don't know where I'll be living (maybe still at home, maybe on my own, maybe even in a new city) and I don't know what I'll be doing. I'd like to think this was rather exciting, but as one of the World's Worriers I like to have a slight cushion, even if it only gives me a months safety-net for rent and bills. Call it getting older and getting all the not so lovely responsibilities that accompany the ever-increasing figure, but I've decided to try and cut-out daft spending for a while. You know, the £4 hot chocolate (I hate coffee and tea), 4 of a monthly magazine to collect the freebie that you will most likely never use. That kind of stuff. I'm still going to treat myself, but just more sensibly and planned.
With that in mind, I went a bit crazy in the sales. Like every year I saved up prior knowing I wanted to pick some bits up. I even made a list of things I actually needed (well, things I'd wanted for a while) to get so I was at least going to use my bargains. And then the flu hit me, and things got a little wild. I shockingly stayed within budget and only got stuff I planned to get, but I think that was mainly down to the fact there are some good offers around and I have quite a few vouchers collect throughout the year. Rather than one post, this is one of three.
As ever, where the products are still available online, I'll link them, but as I actually ordered most of these on Christmas Eve, (they've only just come with Christmas post), the vast majority are sold out. If you really want it, I'd go and have a check in-store.
I hope you enjoy shopping vicariously through me.
